Daile V. McCann |
BiographyAn Associate Attorney of Asperger Associates LLC, whose litigation practice includes handling complex and multiparty litigation including product liability, breach of contract, commercial disputes, design and professional liability, insurance coverage, transportation, cargo losses and maritime disasters. Prior to joining Asperger Associates LLC, Ms. McCann's experience includes cases involving products liability, commercial claims, contract disputes, personal injury and civil rights. She has been active in pro bono work in the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. McCann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She is a member of Delta Omicron Epsilon, an economics honors fraternity. She was awarded a Masters in Business Administration from De Paul University in Chicago and also received her Juris Doctorate degree from De Paul University. Ms. McCann has counseled businesses and insurers regarding loss prevention and risk management from the claims handling perspective through ultimate resolution including trial or settlement. She provides opinions in first-party property, general liability and subrogation claims. Ms. McCann has handled declaratory judgment actions addressing coverage issues. She has handled appeals in State and Federal courts with issues relating to insurance coverage, discovery disputes and other commercial matters. Ms. McCann has appeared before many tribunals including the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers), MSPB (Merit Systems Protection Board) and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. She has argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. McCann is a member of the Illinois State Bar, the Federal Bar of the Northern District of Illinois, the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
